Hetkien vaellus

Hetkien vaellus is a human’s journey through time and space toward the inevitable end. Choreographer Jorma Uotinen and organ virtuoso Pétur Sakari have created, together with the dancers of Pori Dance Company, a Gesamtkunstwerk that weaves together symphonic organ music, movement, and poetry. The piece draws its atmosphere from the writings of Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa.

Premiered at Turku Cathedral in 2014, Hetkien vaellus reaches toward timeless themes through Uotinen’s powerful interpretation, the dancers’ compelling presence and artistry, and Sakari’s dazzling performance.
