Pori Dance Company visits New York

Pori Dance Company is thrilled to perform at the international Battery Dance Festival from August 14–17 2024 in New York! Celebrating its 43rd edition this year, the festival is one of the oldest and most significant dance events in the United States, attracting around 12,000 visitors annually and reaching over 35,000 virtual participants worldwide. The main program performances take place at Nelson A. Rockefeller Park at the southern tip of Manhattan.

At the festival, Pori Dance Company will present Songs, a work by Riku Lehtopolku, featuring performers Meri Tankka, Riikka Tankka, Fiia Lamminen, Cayan Atalmis, Kasperi Kolehmainen, and Riku Lehtopolku. In addition to performances on August 14 and 17, Riku Lehtopolku will also teach at the festival. This performance marks the company’s debut in the United States.
